Privacy Policy

OverHorizon AI Systems ("we", "us", "our") builds LookingGlass, a mobile application that shows live positions of corporate aircraft within an area you choose. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through the LookingGlass app and this website (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run and improve the Service.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you sign in using a third-party sign-in option, we receive basic profile information (your name and email) from that provider. Account creation and sign-in are handled by our authentication provider.

Watch-area location

To set your "watch area," you can share your device's current location or enter an address. We use this to determine the center point of the area you want to track and store that center, along with your chosen radius, with your account. The app requests location only while you are using it — it does not track your location in the background.

Usage and diagnostic data

We collect information about how the Service is used so we can operate, secure, and improve it. This may include the features and screens you use, how long and how often you use the app, in-app actions, and technical diagnostics such as performance and error data. This usage and diagnostic data does not include your device location.

Subscription information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor handles your payment details; we receive and store your subscription status (for example, active or canceled). We do not store full payment card numbers.

Device and technical data

We automatically receive standard technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and IP address, used to deliver and secure the Service.

Aircraft and flight data

The flight and aircraft information the Service shows you — positions, tracks, takeoff and landing events, and predicted destinations — is derived from publicly broadcast aviation signals (such as ADS-B) and public aircraft registries. We also use public registration and operator information internally to identify which aircraft to track; the Service does not display an aircraft's registration (tail number) or operator to users. This information concerns aircraft and their operators, who are third parties; it is not part of your personal account data, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. Where this publicly available information relates to an identifiable person or organization, we process it as public information and will respond to verifiable legal requests concerning it — contact support@overhorizon.ai.

Trademarks and affiliation

LookingGlass is an independent product of OverHorizon AI Systems. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company, aircraft operator, or other organization whose aircraft may appear in the Service. Company names, fleet names, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the aircraft the Service tracks.

How we use your information

• Provide, maintain, and operate the Service;
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• Deliver the tracking and alerts you configure;
• Understand how the Service is used and improve and develop it, including its features and performance;
• Process subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse;
• Respond to your support requests and send service-related messages.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, and only as needed. These providers fall into the following categories:

• Authentication and account management;
• Payment processing;
• Hosting and infrastructure;
• Analytics and diagnostics;
• Third-party sign-in, if you choose to use it.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the public, or OverHorizon AI Systems.

Location data

We use your device location for a single purpose: to set the center of your watch area when you choose "use my current location." The app only accesses location while you are actively using it, never in the background, and we do not use your location for analytics or any other purpose. We request approximate (not precise) location, which is all the feature needs. You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; if you revoke it, you can still set your watch area by searching an address.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations. You can delete your account and associated data at any time — see Delete your account & data — and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Your choices and rights

• Access, correct, or delete your account information;
• Revoke location access in your device settings;
• Cancel your subscription at any time;
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal information.

To exercise any of these, contact us at support@overhorizon.ai. You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly in the app — open the menu and tap Delete account — or from our account & data deletion page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Service, you understand that your information will be handled as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service where appropriate.
